As we proudly enter into our 15th year of patient service, we look back with immense joy and satisfaction on our journey from just a small OPD cabin to a full fledged Eye Hospital having all facilities for patient eye care. This journey, although challenging and difficult has also been extremely satisfying for us.
We are also extremely grateful to the people of Thane for loving us and trusting us with their most precious organs – their eyes. This trust shown in our abilities, also bestows a great responsibility, which we will always strive to fulfill.
We are very happy to present our new website, so that patients can have access to all the relevant information about our Hospital, thus enabling them to connect with us and make informed decisions about availing our services.

Our Work Ethic
Both Dr Rahul and Dr Preeti Kelkar believe that when it comes to healthcare workers, the qualities of discipline, efficiency and empathy are a must.
All staff members are periodically trained and re-trained, to ensure that they carry out their duties correctly and efficiently.
They are also sensitised to the needs and anxieties of our patients, and taught to empathise with them, thus enhancing the quality of the care delivered.

Training
Dr Rahul Kelkar was trained at renowned institutions such as Sion Hospital, Bombay Hospital and Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, working under stalwart bosses who are among the biggest names in Ophthalmology in India such as Dr Shanta Motwane, Dr Anjali Nicholson, Dr Arjun Ahuja, Dr R.C. Patel, Dr N.S. Athanikar and Dr Usha Kim.
Dr Rahul Kelkar has trained exclusively in LASIK laser vision correction procedures with Dr Rupal Shah, who is the pioneer of LASIK surgery in India.

Dr Rahul Kelkar Specialises in Cataract, LASIK and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery
He has performed thousands of procedures of Cataract removal with Lens implantation. At present he performs Cataract surgery using the newer Cold Micro Phaco technology under Topical anaesthesia (No injection Cataract surgery).
He has vast experience in LASIK laser vision correction procedure, and has successfully helped numerous patients get rid of their glasses.
Dr Rahul Kelkar is Fellowship trained in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, i.e Surgery related to disorders of the Eyelids, Orbit and Lacrimal system.

Dr Preeti is an alumnus of Seth. G.S Medical College and K.E.M Municipal Hospital, Parel, Mumbai which ranks among the best Medical Colleges in the country. She studied under illustrious teachers such as Dr Lopa Mehta, Dr Manu Kothari, Dr Dilip Karnad, Dr Avinash Supe and many others.
She further studied Anaesthesia at Bhatia Hospital, Tardeo, Mumbai, working under renowned teachers like Dr Mrs Olivia Vengsarkar, Dr Binita Borale, Dr Daftary, among others. At Bhatia Hospital, she was exposed to a variety of cases, contributing to her rich experience in the field.
Apart from excellent teaching, she imbibed an excellent work culture from her teachers, which she continues to espouse till today.
After working at Hospitals like Bethany Hospital and Jupiter Hospital, she joined Dr Rahul Kelkar as a full-fledged Anaesthesiologist at Dr Kelkar’s Eye Hospital. She also oversees the Administration of the Hospital and the functioning of the in house Optical Dispensing Lab.
